Dr. Leon Foster is a subspecialist in the surgical treatment of gynecological cancers and complex benign gynecological disorders. His surgical techniques include laparoscopic, robotic, and traditional open surgeries. He offers private consultations at the Specialist Services Medical Group in Deakin and performs surgeries at Calvary John James Hospital in Deakin, Calvary Private Hospital in Bruce, and National Capital Private Hospital in Garran.
Patients also have the option to see Dr. Foster’s team through public hospital clinics held weekly at Canberra Hospital. Referral information is available on Health Pathways. Public surgeries are primarily conducted at Canberra Hospital and North Canberra Hospital. Additionally, all new cancer cases are reviewed and discussed in a weekly multidisciplinary care (MDC) meeting, which is recognized as best practice in the planning and management of cancer treatments. These collaborative meetings involve specialists from Canberra Health Services, the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick, and the Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick.
