Before your appointment

After your appointment is made you will receive an email with a link to an online form. Please fill this form out as soon as you get it so we can review any scans or blood tests prior to your appointment.

Please consider bringing a support person to the appointment with you. Two sets of ears are better than one. Feel free to write notes or even record the conversation if you like. If you are unable to fill in the online form prior to coming in please bring:

  • your Medicare card,
  • private health insurance information,
  • a list of current medications,
  • a copy of your referral,
  • any imaging undertaken (online or digital copies are preferred), and
  • any recent blood tests or biopsy results.

If you can’t access any of the above results, knowing which imaging or pathology provider you utilised is helpful for us to source them. However, this does take time.

Your initial appointment will be booked for 45 minutes. During this time your current medical issue, as well as previous medical history, operations and family history will be discussed. You will nearly always have an abdominal and pelvic examination including a speculum and vaginal examination. Additional biopsies or tests may be taken at the time.

For our fees please see the Fees and Payment page.

Fees for the appointment and additional biopsies or specific examinations do attract a rebate through Medicare (not through your health fund). Your Medicare claim can be made at the time of your consultation and deposited into your Medicare registered account the next day.

You will receive a text message in the days prior to your appointment. Please call us on 0478 570 901 if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment so that we can offer the appointment to another patient.
